We offer 5 different levels for the Immersive course to cater to your individual learning needs. Please enroll into the course that best describes your current level of French proficiency! For those with completely zero French knowledge, we highly recommend a short 2-week online Pre-Immersive Intensive to master the basics before diving into the Intensive!
Level 0 - Pre-Immersive Intensive
You have absolutely zero French skills! This concise 2-week online course, with just one hour per week, focuses on mastering the fundamentals: from basic greetings, vocabulary, to counting. It serves as a robust preparation for our Immersive main course. While learners can directly enter Level 1 - Elementary, we suggest starting here if you need to build confidence and make the most out of our Immersive.
Level 1 - Elementary
I have an elementary understanding, I know some basic French words or expressions but my knowledge of the present tense conjugation is very limited. I might know how to distinguish feminine and masculine articles but I am not able to put a sentence together yet. My listening skills require work but I am eager to learn.
Level 2 - Beginner
I am a beginner but I have a basic knowledge of the present tense conjugation. I know how to distinguish feminine and masculine words. I have basic writing skills and I am able to verbally articulate some key sentences. I have some listening comprehension skills and I am keen to improve.
Level 3 - Lower Intermediate
I have a good command of present tense and passé composé. I have some knowledge about the imperfect tense and the future. I have fairly good writing skills but still need to build my confidence when it comes to talking. My listening comprehension skills are fairly solid.
Level 4 - Upper Intermediate
I have solid grammatical skills. I alternate easily between the passé composé and the imperfect tense. I feel confident using different types of pronouns. I have solid listening comprehension skills and I am able to express myself quite fluently even though I still find myself a bit slow.
Level 5 - Advanced
I have excellent grammatical skills. I feel confident using the subjunctive and the conditional. I have been highly exposed to the French language and I have impeccable listening comprehension skills. I am able to express myself about any topic even though I still need to broaden my vocabulary.

Absolutely!
What is the maximum number of students in a class?
Cosmopoli'French offers small group lessons with a maximum of 8 students to provide the best learning environment.
How long does the class go for?
Our students attend one class a week (for 9 weeks) and each class goes for 1.5hr.
How do I know what level class to take?
Our level description above can give you a good indication of which level would be right for you, and we are always happy to give you personal advice. You will also be able to schedule a free level assessment via phone call by clicking here.
Can I change level in the middle of the term?
Yes, If you realise after a few classes that the level you initially chose is either too easy or too difficult, feel free to address the situation with your teacher and you will be able to change classes (depending on availabilities)
What happens if I miss a class?
We offer all our members the opportunity to attend make up classes if they happen to miss one or multiple sessions (depending on availabilities)
What is the difference between the Premium and the Essential Packs?
The Premium pack includes catering and tickets for any other extra activities / exclusive workshops that will take place outside Cosmopoli’French premises. Members who choose the Essential pack will be paying for their meals and drinks at the restaurant on the day of the workshop.
