A 4-Workshop Series for Partners of French Speakers
This four-week immersive workshop is designed for those in a relationship with a French-speaking partner who want to feel more confident, more included, and more at ease in French - especially in the moments that matter. From family dinners to disagreements, from affection to cultural misunderstandings, we’ll give you the vocabulary, structure and cultural insight to navigate it all with confidence.
These workshops are child-friendly, and parents or carers are very welcome to bring their children along.
Workshop 1: Talking to the In-Laws – Tuesday 7 April (10am – 11:30am)
Master the nuance of French family dynamics.
Learn how to navigate formal and informal address, make a strong impression, participate confidently at the dinner table, and express opinions with diplomacy — without sounding stiff.
Workshop 2: Navigating Disagreements (Without Drama) – Friday 10 April (10am – 11:30am)
Disagree clearly, calmly and intelligently in French.
Build the vocabulary and structures to express frustration, soften your tone and avoid cultural missteps — while staying confident and composed.
Workshop 3: The Languages of Love (In French) – Tuesday 14 April (10am-11:30am)
Affection in French is about rhythm, tone and subtext.
Explore natural compliments, terms of endearment, romantic and playful nuances, and how to express needs and appreciation authentically.
Workshop 4: Being Part of the Family – Friday 17 April (10am – 11:30)
Move from outsider to insider.
Practise joining fast conversations, handling humour, telling personal stories and expressing your values — with confidence and cultural awareness.
