Immersion Course
We focus on authentic, real-world experiences rather than dull textbooks, allowing your language skills to thrive! From classic films and gourmet dining to French television, music, art, fashion, and personal interactions with native speakers, you’ll enjoy a comprehensive cultural journey while mastering grammar and vocabulary!
Week 1 (20 - 24 April)
French Sounds Made Easy
No matter where you’re at in your French learning journey, this workshop is your key to mastering French pronunciation. We’ll break down the toughest sounds, fine-tune your accent, and help you speak more naturally
Week 2 (27 April - 2 May)
Grammar Boot Camp
This is an opportunity to get answers to all your grammatical dilemmas. We will cover a large array of topics to help you structure your sentences more confidently.
Week 3 (4 - 9 May)
Emotionally Fluent
Move beyond “je suis content.” Practise expressing a full range of emotions naturally, noticing how small changes in words or emphasis can completely change the impact. This workshop will give you the tools to communicate feelings with nuance and authenticity in everyday conversations.
Week 4 (11 - 16 May)
Survival French for Social Situations
From dinner parties to casual drinks with friends, chatting at cafés, or navigating conversations at local markets; everyday French social moments can feel tricky. In this workshop, you’ll explore the words, and subtle cultural cues that make your French sound natural and confident without overthinking every sentence.
Week 5 (18- 23 May)
Common Mistakes, Clever Fixes
Join us for a fun, confidence-building session where we tackle the mistakes that trip up most learners. From prepositions and gender to tricky verbs and agreements, you’ll discover simple strategies to overcome common pitfalls — so your French becomes smoother, clearer, and more natural
Week 6 (25 - 30 May)
From Words to Wits
In this workshop, you’ll explore commonly used idioms and sayings, and practise weaving them naturally into conversation. By the end, your French will feel richer, livelier, and more expressive - the kind of French that really comes alive in everyday conversations.
Week 7 (1 June - 6 June)
Movie Time
Join us for a cinematic experience where we watch French short films and discuss the language and culture depicted in them. This fun, interactive workshop will help you improve your communication skills as we break down scenes, explore vocabulary, and engage in thoughtful conversation.
Week 8 (8 June - 13 June)
The Art of Debating like the French
Debating is a cultural institution in France, and in this workshop, we’ll introduce you to the social codes while teaching you key expressions to help you stand out in any French conversation.
Week 9 (15 - 20 June)
Speak French at the NGV Discover Cartier
(Premium Only)
Join us for a guided visit to the NGV’s Cartier exhibition. Together, we’ll admire the stunning designs, discuss the stories behind these iconic creations - all while speaking French. See, talk, and experience creativity up close as you practise your French in a fun and inspiring setting.
(For Essential Package students, you will instead get one bonus class - repeat a workshop at a different level!)
